What is drain jetting and how does it work?

Drain jetting utilizes high-pressure water to blast away blockages and clean pipe walls.

  • How it Works:
    • A specialized nozzle is attached to a high-pressure hose.
    • Water is propelled through the nozzle at pressures up to 4000 psi.
    • The powerful jet of water dislodges debris, grease, and roots.
    • The debris is then flushed away, leaving the pipes clean.

Is drain jetting safe?

When performed by trained professionals, drain jetting is a safe and effective method. However, safety precautions are essential:

  • Proper PPE, including eye protection and gloves, is crucial, as recommended by safety guidelines.
  • Operators must be trained in the safe handling of high-pressure equipment, according to industry best practices.
  • Controlled hose maneuvering is essential to prevent injuries.
